The Cascais Global Network is an adult education mobility consortium under the Erasmus+ Programme, coordinated by Associação Animam Viventem. It brings together local organisations from the adult education and Third Sector fields, all of which are part of the Cascais Social Network.

Grounded in a shared vision of positive social transformation, the consortium acts as a catalyst for the development of skills, tools, and resources among professionals working with adults – particularly in the areas of social action, the social and solidarity economy, and social inclusion.

Through European mobility, we promote meaningful learning experiences, strengthen cooperation between organisations, and foster the internationalisation of the sector, with the ultimate goal of enhancing the quality of support provided to local communities.

Strategic Objectives

The mission of the Cascais Global Network is to increase the impact of organisations working in adult education by promoting international mobility experiences that reinforce quality, innovation, and cooperation in the field.

Mobility activities are designed to benefit not only the individuals involved, but also the organisations themselves and, more broadly, the community. In this context, the consortium has set the following strategic objectives:

Objective 1 | To strengthen the competences of professionals by enabling them to acquire new knowledge, skills, and working methodologies in adult education.

Objective 2 | To enhance the capacity of organisations to work collaboratively and within networks.

Objective 3 | To develop the intercultural and transnational dimension of organisational work.

Consortium Members

Cascais Global Network currently comprises a group of eight local organisations committed to promoting lifelong learning and social inclusion. All members are part of the Cascais Social Network and operate within the fields of adult education and the Third Sector, directly addressing the needs of their communities.

Each organisation actively contributes to the consortium’s mission, both by sending professionals on mobility and by hosting international participants (professionals and/or adult learners). Together, they form a collaborative network that bridges local action with European cooperation.
